Starline August Moon - an impact male for softness and density. This exceptionally soft male sporting a 23.9 micron fleece at 8.5 years of age, is a super sire of white genetics and full Peruvian origin (Alianza). Only shown in a single spring season, he was awarded Supreme Alpaca at the Charles Ledger Show before he joined the working sire stable at Coolawarra. However August Moon is best known for his progeny with his offspring selling as stud sires or for export more than any other at Coolawarra. It is primarily due to their attributes of fleece character coupled with softness that holds in maturity. Further, his crias are vigorous growers and early maturers, calm, intelligent and hardy like their sire. This combination of attributes ensures predictabity in his offspring, a welcome trait when assessing breeding outcomes.
